Frankies Bikinis x Pride Collection
Frankie’s Bikinis came out with their Pride collection for this June 2020 and I was so immediately hooked by the fabric and tie dye coloring they were creating. I don’t why but I love anything velvet or suede when it comes to a bikini because it’s not your typical bikini fabric. I think it takes me back to my Juicy Couture days!
This collection is also giving back in a really great way which I was happy to support. In celebration of Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community, Frankies is donating 20% of their sales to the Stonewall Community Foundation. Something I will always get behind! LOVE IS LOVE!!
I ordered the Liam set and couldn’t wait to try this bathing suit on when it came in the mail. The top is $95 and the bottoms are $85, which is about my cap when it comes to suit spending. It’s made from 85% Nylon and 15% Lycra and you can tell because it has this bounce back stretch to it. Nylon isn’t biodegradable so it does hurt the environment which I don’t like but they are coming out with a sustainable collection and hopefully they continue down that path. I ordered smalls in both the top and the bottom and when I saw the top I was like ohhh no… this is for a child! But the stretch makes a huge difference and it was actually a really comfortable fit for by A size chest (bust 32.5”). The top doesn’t have adjustable straps so I tend to stay on the smaller size to help with the short frame.
The bottoms have a sliding front and back, and they’re a little cheeky! My waist (25.5”) is suitable for a size small but my booty has some…. booty in it (lol) so all my bigger booty babes take that into consideration - it was really sliding into one cheek. The bottoms have adjustable straps to help with that.
Overall, I love this bikini, the colors are new and fun, the velvet fabric is amazing and the stretch really makes the suit fit right. Snag it quick before you are put on the waitlist, where the restocking is totally random!
