Missguided Mini Haul: Petite Section

I always get excited when I see a favorite store of mine has a dedicated petite section. Extra brownie points! The question is will it actually fit, since all petite bodies are different and I happen to have a short torso / upper body. Here’s what I tried on and how it fit (remember, I’m 4’11”)!

I was pleased with the quality of the fabric of these pieces and everything was true to how it looked on the website. I purchased a total of 5 things. Two of them were too big even though they were from the petite section. I am going to save them and practice on them as I learn how to sew. What I don’t like about the MissGuided online purchasing experience was there’s a cost to return it if the item you order is unsatisfactory. I took the risk this time because this was my first time buying and I wasn’t sure how the clothes would fit me, but something like this may deter me from buying from them again. Although their stuff is really cute!

I’ve provided links below every excerpt to take you directly to that item on the site or to something similar. Happy shopping!

Petite Green Double Split Maxi Dress

Size: US 0

The length on this dress was a little long. But, pair this with heels instead of sandals and the length issue is solved. The material is super soft and light, it hugs your curves but is still loose and comfortable. My favorite thing about this dress is the double side split to show off some leg.

The headband is originally from Urban Outfitters that I got YEARS ago. I listed a semi-similar one from Forever 21 and will keep looking for something better.

The sandals are from Abercrombie & Fitch. I got these April of 2020 and it’s now August of 2020 and they are already sold out on their website. I linked something similar!

MissGuided Petite Pink Faux Suede Smock Shirt Dress

Size: US 0

I love light suede pieces that work in spring / summer and this shade of pink is perfect for pairings of all different shades: brown, white, nude, blue. The collar and coverage on this dress gives it an extra boost and puts this dress in the “can wear to office but also happy hour” category. The length on this dress fell mid-thigh which is perfect for girls under 5’2” plus adding a heel had me feeling confident to show off my legs.

These shoes are originally from Aldo. They give me the perfect height I need, I love the thickness of the heel and the arch is manageable. I could wear them for hours. I’ve linked a similar pair below!

black petite missguided jumpsuit

Black Satin Strappy Oversized Culotte Jumpsuit

Size: US 0

This jumpsuit is a staple because the satin makes it versatile. It can be worn day or night, it can be dressed up or down and it’s loose fitting. Thank god for the adjustable straps and pockets (my two favorite things!).

missguided ribbed black jumpsuit with belt

Petite Black Ribbed Strappy Belted Jumpsuit

Size: US 0

Okay so you can’t have enough black pieces in your closet and I was really excited to receive this piece. It’s definitely comfortable and I love the ribbed detail BUT the crotch was just a little too low for me. It doesn’t look bad but I personally don’t feel great if I think this area is baggy. The belt was also too long for me to actually buckle it, so I tied it instead - still works!

I don’t see this jumpsuit on their website anymore but if you click the photo it will take you to a similar one that I really like!
